The tractor is a 1970 David Brown 1200 4wd with Selene 4wd

The tractor is described as an unfinished restoration in good working order, with a fully rebuilt engine and sta dri cab

Club member seeks Tractor

Club Member and Webmaster Jim McKechnie - is seeking information on his dads old Case International 1594 4wd Hydra Shift Commemorative edition tractor.

The tractor was registered E583 AGD and was taxed as recently as June of 2015-

The tractor's serial numbers are as follows Engine no 11470156 gear box no 4301 Transfer box 5567 Serial no 11528615

To celebrate 65 years since the founding of one of Scotlands largest machinery dealers, Hamilton of Larkhall- Jim McKechnie has organised a special gathering of tractors, machinery and former staff, customers and enthusiasts on Sunday the 23rd of August at Chatelherault Country Park, Hamilton ML3 7UE.   Please come along to see this special one off gathering.

Hamilton of Larkhall was founded by George Hamilton in 1950 and became distributors for David Brown, Case and Case IH tractors (and various other implement manufacturers) based primarily in west central Scotland opening several depots before being closed in the early 2000s

Just received an email about an forthcoming Farm Sale that is happening this weekend of a collector who has at least one David Brown tractor amongst other makes and who knows what implements ther might be so why not go along and take a look you never know what other gems DMR related items you will find there. Beef & Hay and DMR Machinery what's the link?

Well the Fife Vintage Agricultural Machinery rally at Corston Mill on June 8th has "Beef and Hay" as the theme this year.

So come on all you DMR members why don't you look out David Brown mowers and balers and International mowers, conditioners, tedder, balers and bale loaders or any other make of haymaking or beef cattle machinery and memorabilia for that matter.

It will be great to see DMR members keep providing good support to the themes of this great rally!
